Olveston United Reserves 3-0 Highridge Reserves

Olveston Reserves put in a fantastic team performance in sweltering conditions at The Plain. Straight from the kickoff, Olveston caused the visitors problems. The pace of Rylan Fowler was a threat all evening, the midfield trio of Forss Richards and Russell work tirelessly to stifle any Highridge threat.

Lots of good chances came and went before Forss thumped in his first goal of the season for 1-0. Highridge struggled to break out in any serious threat and the defence of Gilbert, Jones and Cooper looked intent on keeping a clean sheet.

Some more impressive passing involving Moss, Russell and Harry Smith, lead to the latter, firing past the keeper for 2-0. The second half was barely 10 minutes old when the visitors lost their keeper to a red card, after bringing down Fowler on the edge of the 18 yard box.

Credit to Highridge who still battled and created some half chances, but the game was effectively killed off when substitute Winter Tuck produced strong run down the right is cross, was converted by fellow substitute James Thomas.
