On-song Olveston, claimed another notable scalp in Cribbs Reserves amid an eye-catching run of form that has propelled them to third in the table to give this Saturday’s 2pm hosts, Hallen Reserves, plenty to chew on.
The rampant O’s raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Josh Allen and Joe Loney inside the first ten minutes, and held on capably to their advantage until half-time.
Cribbs made a few changes and started the second half strongly, quickly pulling the game back to 2-2 before Olveston, showing “great character,” scored again through Loney before going on to close out the contest commendably for a memorable 3-2 win.
Another encouraging point for us was the introduction of our under-18 player Josh Rimmer making his first appearance in the first team after impressing recently in the reserves.
